Blast off! IEYC Topic – Early Years Foundation

The children this morning found in the corridor a mysterious trail of space debris, including a map of the cosmos, that led towards the classroom. They discovered, once bursting into the room, that a space ship had made an emergency landing there! On board were 3 aliens who needed help to return to their planet. The children had a mission to fix the space ship and help the aliens. They set about brainstorming possible destinations and made lists of essential items to pack for the journey. These included a comb, picnic basket, and space goggles! The children also examined ‘moon rocks’ whilst wearing special space gloves! It was a fun day and a great start to our Blast off! IEYC Topic.
