C6 Dutch Exit point

The students in class 6 had the opportunity to show their Dutch skills during the exit point presentation of their IMYC unit ‘Creativity’. They have done an amazing job and they can be proud of themselves! In Dutch they have been learning about clothing, appearances and compliments. During the lessons, students had to consider and analyse how characters can be explored and developed in creative ways. Their main goal was to give their character voice through written diary entries and dramatic performances.

A few students started the show with a little sketch performance. Their voice was recorded in Dutch so that they could fully focus on acting out their character traits. It was up to the audience to guess the three character traits of each character. After this, another group of students performed a role-play about the importance of giving compliments. Together everyone sang the compliment song in Dutch! At the end, the audience could enjoy a lovely fashion show. Each student had a little script prepared and acted out as the ‘presenter’ of the show, naming all the pieces of clothing and accessories which the character was wearing. One-by-one, the characters walked on the catwalk on ‘Papaoutai’ – a song produced by the famous Belgian artist, Stromae. Goed gedaan, klas 6!
