Role Overview:
The Head of Primary provides academic and pastoral leadership for the Early Years and Primary sections (EY–Class 5), ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and wellbeing within a small, international, multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Early Years and Primary programmes, ensuring curriculum coherence and high standards of learning
  • Support, mentor, and appraise primary teaching staff to promote continuous professional growth
  • Oversee student wellbeing, safeguarding, the Primary Student Voice and pastoral care across the primary phase
  • Work closely with the Head of School and leadership team on school development and improvement planning
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and the wider school community
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and international education best practices
  • Manage primary resources, timetables and budgets effectively

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Recognised teaching qualification with experience in Early Years and Primary education (A leadership qualification is also desirable)
  • Proven leadership experience in a primary international school setting
  • Strong understanding of international curricula (such as the IPC) and child-centred active learning

Personal Qualities:

Job Title: Business Manager

Reports To: Head of School / Board of Governors

Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

The Business Manager is a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for the effective and efficient management of the school’s financial, administrative, and operational functions. This role ensures the smooth running of non-academic operations including finance, human resources, administration, transport, maintenance, and marketing, enabling the academic team to focus on teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Finance & Budget Management

  • Prepare, monitor, and manage the school’s annual budget in line with strategic objectives.
  • Oversee fee collection, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, audits, and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for leadership and the board.
  • Manage banking relationships and oversee school procurement and vendor contracts.

2. Human Resources

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations in coordination with the Head of School and department heads.
  • Maintain up-to-date staff contracts and records.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and staff welfare policies.
  • Coordinate staff professional development and HR documentation.

3. Administration & Operations

  • Supervise the smooth operation of all administrative processes, including office management, records, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure school policies and procedures are up to date and implemented effectively.
  • Coordinate licensing, insurance, and regulatory documentation with relevant authorities.

4. Transport & Logistics

  • Oversee the school’s transportation system, ensuring routes, schedules and maintenance meet safety and efficiency standards.
  • Manage contracts and service providers for buses and taxis.
  • Ensure adherence to transport safety regulations and proper communication with parents.

5. Facilities & Maintenance

  • Manage the upkeep, maintenance, and safety of the school building, ground, and assets.
  • Oversee repairs, renovations, and vendor services in alignment with safety and quality standards.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives within the campus.
  • Coordinating with sport centre towards the annual bookings.

6. Marketing & Admissions Support

  • Support the school’s marketing and communication strategy to enhance enrollment and community engagement.
  • Oversee branding, digital marketing, and social media initiatives in coordination with the marketing team.
  • Monitor parent satisfaction and community relations to build a strong school reputation.

7. Leadership & Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to the school’s strategic planning and development as part of the senior leadership team.
  • Provide advice and insight to leadership on financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and growth opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement across departments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in business or operations management, preferably within an educational institution.
  • Strong understanding of school finance, HR, procurement, and operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial and school management software.
