The Secondary Section Stories – 31/03

It has been an exciting end to term 2 and students are involved in lots of events.

The two Reconnect Events over the last two Saturdays were a big success. It was great to see so many parents and students back on campus. The games and activities had our community bonding together and having a lot of laughs. Thanks to the teachers, student leaders and parents who were involved in the organization.

There have also been some major events for students. Our Boys Football team traveled to Verona in Italy for five days to play in the Mediterranean Cup with Mr Ruben and Mr Gabor. The boys played remarkably well and came home with a trophy and medals for coming 3rd in the championship division. Not only did they play a great tournament but we also received positive feedback from other schools about their good attitude and behaviour. You make us very proud boys!!

Last week was literacy week and students were engaged in a whole host of activities – book character day, a book of poems in multiple languages, tongue twisters and the creation of a school story for their section, just to name a few. There is full report on literacy week later on in the newsletter.

Today class 5 did their second stage of transition into middle school for next year. Ms G had organized an “Escape Room” activity where they had solve challenges and get clues / keys to get out of the room. All the clues related to moving to secondary, what skills and traits will be important, and what new responsibilities they will have. A lot of fun and students are looking forward to the next part of their journey.

Have a fabulous break and take some time to relax,
