In the first term of this year, the secondary students of ISBe have been working hard to build a solid foundation in mathematics, ensuring that they have a better understanding of the numbers and algebra and getting. Our aspiring mathematicians were adding like-terms, simplifying ratios, and figuring out sequences, and yet they were not always working on their own. They had the opportunity to help each other understand more difficult concepts, while learning how to become better communicators.
They had collaborated on various activities designed to extend their learning, be it decoding algebraic puzzles or computing complex challenges.
They had taken time to reflect on their learning journey, celebrate their achievements and strategise their plan of improvement together.
They know that Maths @ ISBe is more than just about getting the right answers – it is about building a community of learners who solve interdisciplinary problems using mathematics. What a term it has been for our aspiring mathematicians. Here’s to another amazing term!
