A New Role for the New School Year!

A New Role for the New School Year!

My name is Miss Mac and if you don’t know me from the last three years of being the Class 4 teacher, you can now find me working as the Primary Student Support Teacher AND as the ISBe Librarian!

I am passionate about books and hope to bring new life to our lovely library. I have been working hard to reorganise the books and library space to be more effective for learning and exploring. I’m also lucky because I now get to provide engaging reading experiences for all the primary classes each week. Our first big project is International Dot Day next week. We’ve already begun preparations for a huge art installation in the library.

As the Primary Student Support Teacher, I’ll be providing some lessons and support in class for students who might need a boost here and there. This is a part of our school’s philosophy to help every child become confident and happy, while achieving their best. This is always a team effort between myself, the class teacher, our Head of Primary Mrs. Short, and of course, the child and their family.

I’m looking forward to a fresh start and a fantastic year! Come see me in the library, any volunteers are welcome if you arrange it with me directly! Email me at mmckenzie@isbedu.be if you’d like to help out.
