Celebrating Languages!

Late this term we were joined by two new students from Israel and Ukraine. It is amazing to celebrate the diversity of languages in our primary group. We have speakers of Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Swiss German, Hebrew, Ukrainian, and Russian.

This week our beginners are learning how to talk about themselves and their families. They can describe where they are from, their simple likes and dislikes, and the members of their families. It’s not an easy task to integrate in the school with a completely new language – Ms. Jazmin and their class teachers are so proud of the effort these students make.

Our elementary learners are tackling the past tense in English. It’s so great to see the progress they have made after two terms. Despite arriving at the school with very little English, these students have managed to integrate well in their classes. Well done!
