Class 2 and 4 Reading

Over the last couple of weeks, Class 2 and 4 have been reading together. Improving their reading aloud and performance skills, both classes have enjoyed partnering up and sharing some time and their favourite stories together. They were working on their fluidity of reading, blending and segmenting words as well as the pace and intonation of their reading too.

Class 4 lead the way in the first week by joining up with Class 2 and reading one of their favourite stories. This week, however, Class 2 have chosen one of their favourite stories and read aloud to the partner from Class 4. Class 2 used lots of the techniques and inspiration they learnt from Class 4!

It was a great and fun experience for the children to partner up from different classes as well as getting to go to the other class and show their partner around. The children enjoyed exploring and understanding the different stories as well as showing their partner their reading skills.

A great time had by all and something that will continue in the future. Thanks Class 4! Here are some pictures of the children enjoying story time!
