DOT DAY

Celebrating International Dot Day in Primary

At the start of every year the Primary and Early Years classes read a very special book: The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, author and illustrator. This story is a lovely inspiring story about a girl named Vashti who discovers the creativity in herself and pushes through feeling stuck in Art Class because her teacher asks her to, ‘just make a mark and see where it takes you.’

You can find The Dot Song here, something we performed in assembly last week as part of our celebration. It is very catchy!

We joined the international celebration by creating our own dots to make a school-wide display in the Library! Every child in our school, as well as all staff members, are represented in the installation. Come check it out next time you’re at school!
