DREAMS & GOALS

Instead of sitting in class going through yet another lecture on achieving dreams and meeting goals as part of their PSHE programme, Class 6 students were given the opportunity to plan a project related to their personal dreams, one that they could realistically achieve in a few weeks. Some of these “passion projects” include learning a computer programming language, improving skating techniques, creating a following on YouTube, memorising algorithms, and performing a song or dance.

Challenges, of course, presented themselves along the way – Class 6 students realised that plans are often much easier to propose than to execute. It was back to the drawing board for many of them; changes were made to original plans, ambitions were taken over by frustrations, and after a few failed attempts at renegotiating the due date, personal time was sacrificed.

In the end, however, Class 6 students achieved what they set out to do – it is amazing what they could do when they demonstrate resilience. Below are some examples of some of the visual works created by Class 6 students.
