Kalimera from Ms Anna

Hi! I’m Anna, I’m 22 years old and I’m from Greece. I work in Greece as a primary school teacher but this year I’ll be in your school to do a graduate internship. I feel great and enthusiastic about being here with you all.
I have been here since the beginning of the school year and the main class that I work with is Class 2. In the beginning, I observed Mr. Haycroft and which resources he used in his teaching and also how he taught every subject to the children.
After some weeks, I started to help small groups of children in phonics exercises and when they needed help generally in every subject, I offered my help as well. At the same time, I’m responsible for the 2 new students in our class that are at a different level from the others, so I work with them on differentiated exercises in Maths and English.
In addition, after 2 months in Class 2, I started to go around to see how the other teachers work in different classes.
In the coming weeks and months our goals are for me to teach the whole class myself and I’m excited to do so. I will probably even start organising some of the planning of some lessons.
It’s a great opportunity for me to be here and I enjoy learning new things from the teachers and children every day! I also really enjoy sharing my experience and culture with you all, so that you too can learn something new everyday as well.
Happy holidays!

How can we help you
