Mediterranean Cup Italy

After our amazing experience in Marbella the ISBe Lions boys team was eager to confirm their great performance at the next big tournament.
With teams coming from all over Europe and the Lions competing for the first time in an U-16 competition, it was going to be a challenging tournament.
Seeing all the giants competing in the U-16 competition our Lions were a bit intimidated.
Soon this intimidation transformed into a great fighting spirit and belief that they were able to achieve great goals in this tournament.
Our Lions got some great results on Friday and Saturday and qualified for the Champions semi-finals.
After a very exciting and nerve-racking game, ending in 0-0, it was time for a penalty shoot out.
Unfortunately our Lions lost the penalty lottery causing our Lions to compete in the 3rd place final on Sunday morning.
Our Lions played a great game, had several chances to score but again the result was 0-0.
A new penalty shoot out was awaiting. This time our Lions won the penalty lottery giving them the 3rd place trophy. What an amazing performance!
Several commented on our great team spirit and attitude shown during this tournament which makes us really proud.
