SPECIALIST SESSIONS

Library Sessions
Children have regular Library Sessions where they can enjoy stories, look at books and explore the library. We want children to feel comfortable around books and to develop an interest in stories from an early age.
Reading and sharing stories also gives children opportunities to listen, talk and learn new words. It is a relaxed time for children to enjoy books together and discover the different stories and topics available in the library.

Music
Music is part of the Early Years week, with children singing songs, playing simple instruments and moving to music. The sessions give children the chance to enjoy music together and try different ways of making and responding to sounds.
Through songs and musical activities, children develop their listening, rhythm and coordination while building confidence. Most importantly, the sessions are about enjoying music and having fun together.

Physical Education
Our Early Years PE sessions give children plenty of opportunities to move, play and develop their physical skills. Activities are suited to their age and include movement, games, balance and coordination.
PE is also a chance for children to become more confident in using their bodies and playing with others. The sessions are active and playful, helping children enjoy being active from an early age.
