The Secondary Section Stories – 02/04

So here we are at the end of another term.

It has been a busy and productive term, despite having to postpone or design many of the activities or events that would usually happen when not under Covid restrictions.

In the past few weeks, Middle school students have been finishing off interdisciplinary projects, C9 have completed end of term assessments, while C10 have been working on mock re-sits and past papers. All of them focused on improved confidence, skills and understanding.

Literacy week was a big hit as you saw from last week’s newsletter and other events like the inter house speech finals were successfully run this week. Congratulations to the six finalists – C6 – Rashi & Aarushi and C8 – Annisha, Meghna, Navya & Rahul. The winners will be announced in term 3

As part of the class 5 transition to middle school program, they did a workshop with the Secondary Head on the needs of the adolescent learner and will do a shadow day in the secondary school after the April holidays. Also students from class 8, 9 & 10 attended the second careers panel hosted by ISBe and met people who have undertaken a very winding pathway in their career so far.

As another successful term comes to an end, you have now received term reports and had the opportunity to talk to your child’s teachers at the conferences. We are looking forward to term 3 and here are a few dates to start us off:

April 19 – Day 1 of term 3 – on site – all students return

Keep safe and healthy!!!
