The Secondary Section Stories – 10/01/2025

To our valued parents and ISBe community members,

I hope this newsletter finds you well and that you and your families had a wonderful and restful holiday season. As we step into this new term, I would like to extend a warm welcome back to all of you. It is always exciting to see the school bustling with energy and enthusiasm once again. I also hope you are staying warm and safe in this snowy weather.

First, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to those of you who attended the Parent-Teacher Conferences at the end of last term. Your presence and engagement are invaluable in fostering the partnership between home and school. These conferences provide an important opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, celebrate achievements, and set goals for continued growth. Your involvement makes a significant difference in your child’s educational journey, and we greatly appreciate your support.

Looking back, I want to highlight the educational trip that Class 7 participated in at the end of last term before the holiday. The students had a wonderful opportunity to visit Antwerp, where they explored the renowned Plantin-Moretus Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and enjoyed a guided walking tour of Antwerp’s historical center. This trip was closely tied to the Renaissance and the invention of the printing press, topics they studied in class. It was an enriching experience that allowed students to connect their classroom learning with the world beyond school.

Additionally, I would like to remind the parents of Class 10 students about the important zoom meeting scheduled for Monday, 13 January at 6 pm. This session will focus on the pivotal decisions regarding your child’s academic path in Class 11. Your attendance and input are essential, and we look forward to discussing the various opportunities and answering any questions you may have.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we can ensure a successful and fulfilling term for all our students. If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Wishing you all a productive and enjoyable term ahead!

Warm regards,

Tala Issa
