The Secondary Section Stories 22/11/2024

The Secondary Section Stories 22/11/2024

To our valued parents and ISBe community members,

I hope this message finds you all in good spirits and enjoying the winter season.

The past two weeks have been filled with significant activities and accomplishments. Our boys’ and girls’ football teams recently competed against Bogarts, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and determination. Additionally, Phoenix House organized an event that brilliantly exhibited our school spirit and fostered community engagement.

We also conducted our first career talk of the year, featuring Andrea Bertolino, an Innovation Engineer. This event provided our  9-12 years students with valuable insights as they begin to navigate their potential career paths.

This week, four of our students are representing our school at the NEASC Leadership Conference in Boston, USA. They will present on the theme of student leadership from a Junior High perspective, covering topics such as Student Wellness, Festival of Lights, and the House System.   Their presentation will take place in an “Unplugged” format, which means they will engage the audience without the use of technology, akin to a town hall meeting, addressing approximately thirty school leaders from various countries. This serves as a remarkable opportunity for our students and a proud moment for our school community.

Looking ahead, I would like to remind everyone that block exams are scheduled for next week. We wish all our students the best of luck in their preparations.

Lastly, I look forward to welcoming you all at our forthcoming Festival of Lights, where we will celebrate our community together.

Warm regards,

Tala Issa
