The Secondary Section Stories – 28/06/2024

To our valued parents and ISBe community members,

As we wrap up our inaugural year in the Secondary School programme, we reflect on a journey marked by remarkable events, exceptional teaching experiences, and significant milestones.

Our commitment to providing a comprehensive, enriching education has been demonstrated through our dedication to both academic excellence and personal growth for our students. This year, our school undertook the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) evaluation and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) accreditation process. These evaluations are pivotal in ensuring we uphold the highest educational standards. Successfully navigating these assessments not only affirms our commitment to excellence but also positions us among the leading institutions globally.

Among the highlights of this year was the much-anticipated sleepover event, which provided students with an opportunity to bond, engage in team-building activities, and create lasting memories. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition was another standout event, where our senior students embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, demonstrating resilience and teamwork.

Our house events throughout the year have been a testament to our vibrant school spirit, encouraging healthy competition and unity among students. The Student Council has played a crucial role in enhancing the student experience through various initiatives, empowering students to take leadership roles and contribute positively to our school environment.

As we conclude this successful first year, we bid farewell to our leaving students, wishing them all the best in their future endeavors. We also say goodbye to Mr. Ruben Thoon, who will embark on an exciting international experience in Indonesia, and our Learning Support Coordinator, Ms. Amelia, who will be moving back to the United States. Their contributions have been invaluable, and they will be greatly missed.

Together, we have made this year truly unforgettable, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunities and challenges that the next academic year will bring. Here’s to many more years of learning, growth, and shared success!
