The Secondary Section Stories-9/10

What’s been happening in secondary for the past few weeks??

We have practiced a lockdown drill, students have been developing smart goals for their personal learning plans, class 6 has been solving math problems on the windows of their classroom, some class 10 students attended a presentation from an IT professional and class 8 hosted a fantastic assembly on the importance of role models.

We also began a new initiative to recognise the efforts and fine qualities of our students through monthly awards. These are by teacher nomination and awarded in three categories across secondary: Academic progress; Acts of kindness and support; and Leadership. For September our winners are Prisha Van in class 7 for Academic progress, Dhruv Singhal in class 8 for Acts of kindness and Tanishka Singh in class 10 for Leadership. All the winners and nominees earned points for their house – congratulations!

Coming up, we are looking forward to hearing about the plans for the Student Council this year and a student leadership training event. Our first parent coffee meeting (in a virtual format) will be on Thursday 15 October at 9 – 9.30am for middle school parents and from 9.30 -10am for class 9&10 parents. Student will showcase a snapshot of their learning so far this year. Details of how to log in will be sent via email. See you there!
