The outstanding richness of Islamic art lies in the complex use of geometrical patterns, with ingenious designs covering the walls, ceilings, floors and windows of buildings in the Islamic world. This term, students of Classes 6 to 8, in applying their knowledge of basic construction they have acquired in mathematics lessons, have developed their own distinctive styles of geometric designs inspired by Islamic art, using only a ruler, a compass and a sharpened pencil.
