Primary Newsletter 20/03/2026
Dear Parents,
Thank you to all our parents who attended the Student-Led Conferences today. These conferences are a vital part of the educational process, giving students the opportunity to talk about their learning—how they learn, what they learn, what they are proud of, and their next steps. Extensive research shows that students who understand the learning process, take ownership of their learning, and know the steps they need to take next make significantly more progress than those who are simply told what to do. We feel this is a wonderful way to mark the end of the second term.
We held our annual talent show last week, and the standard continues to improve as students recognise the importance of practising and refining their acts. We would like to congratulate everyone who took part. There is great potential in Primary, and we look forward to seeing the winning acts performed on International Day. A special thank you to Ms Nichols for organising the event and presenting the certificates at Friday’s assembly.

Class 1 also enjoyed a trip to Meise Botanical Gardens last week. They had a wonderful time and impressed the staff with their knowledge of plants and pollination.
Class 4 took part in an exchange with the Jesoda-Hatora School. A small group of our girls visited their school, while their boys came to ours. It is always a valuable experience for our students to meet and interact with peers from a different faith background. We hope this helps to foster greater tolerance and understanding in our community.
On Monday 30th March, it was Class 5’s turn to visit the library in Aartselaar. They enjoyed the long walk and had fun chatting along the way. At the library, they explored a range of books and even attempted to translate some of the Dutch ones. They also took part in an animal-themed scavenger hunt and made paper fortune tellers. Everyone agreed it was a fantastic visit.
Monday was also Class 3’s exit point, celebrated with an Egyptian Day. The students dressed as Egyptians, took part in themed activities, prepared Egyptian-style food, and enjoyed hibiscus tea kindly provided by the Egyptian Embassy in Brussels. Each child also received a replica papyrus from the Embassy, which was greatly appreciated.
We wish you a lovely weekend and a super time over the holidays. We will see all of our students again on the 20th April.
Warm regards,
